Bombay are a type of short-haired cats developed by breeding sable Burmese and black American Shorthair cats to produce a cat of mostly Burmese type, but with a sleek, tight black coat.

Siamese Cat

The Siamese is highly intelligent, agile, athletic, and loves to play. The Siamese cat is one of the first distinctly recognized breeds of Oriental cat. One of several breeds native to Thailand, the Siamese cat became one of the most popular breeds in Europe and North America in the 20th century.

Tabby Cat

A tabby is any domestic cat that has a coat featuring distinctive stripes, dots, lines or swirling patterns, usually together with a mark resembling an 'M' on its forehead.

The term tabby cat, "one with a striped coat", is attested from the 1690s; the shortened form tabby was first attested in 1774.

Persian

The Persian cat is a long-haired breed of cat characterized by its round face and short muzzle. In Britain, it is sometimes called the Longhair or Persian Longhair.

It is also known as the Shiraz or Shirazi, particularly in the Middle East.

Sphynx

Sphynx are the most famous hairless cat breed in the world. Originating in Canada in 1966 when a single hairless kitten named Prune was born. The Sphynx are a relatively new breed of cat. They are known for their lack of a coat (fur), though it is not truly hairless. Their fine hair is actually the same color as their skin.

Birman

Also known as the "Sacred Cat of Burma," Birmans are colorpoint cats, meaning they have a darker color on their tail, legs, ears and face, much like the Siamese or the Himalayan division of the Persian. In the cat-show world, the white front paws are referred to as gloves and the back paws as socks. Terms most frequently used to describe Birman cats are gentle, polite, affectionate and outgoing.

American Shorthair

Ideal American Shorthairs exude symmetry, with the breed standard calling for them to be slightly longer than tall. The face of an American Shorthair should be full-cheeked with an open expression. Eyes are medium to large in size and mostly round with an almond-like curve at the top. The breed's coat comes in a variety of colors and designs.

Himalayan

The Himalayan was originally developed from crosses between Siamese and Persians in an effort to transfer the pointed pattern to the Persian type. The Himilayan should have the massive build and flowing coat of the Persian no matter how it is registered. Himalayans have the Persian's gentle, easygoing personality with an extra spark.

British Shorthair

The British Shorthair is the pedigreed version of the traditional British domestic cat, with a distinctively chunky body, dense coat and broad face.
